Our Homes
Harmony is an inclusive Florida community, designed specifically to bring people together. This spirit of community can be found reflected in the friendly front porches that line Harmony’s quiet and charming streets. Every new home built in Harmony makes our whole community stronger and healthier.

When selecting our new home designs, Harmony residents currently have eight architectural models to choose from, extending from 1,305 to 6,216 square feet of living space and spanning in price from the low $100,000’s to $1.7 million. Available Harmony home designs range from villas and townhomes to single family homes and large custom-built manors, all arranged in well-integrated local neighborhoods.

But homes in Harmony don’t just look good, they’re built to the latest, rigorous Florida state standards.  And they’re built to save you money; month after month; year after year.

Every home in Harmony is required to be built to federal Energy Star© standards. This means that they are fitted with energy-conserving windows,  highly efficient and tightly sealed heating and cooling systems and duct work, high quality water heating equipment (with solar heating usually an option) and the latest high efficiency appliances.

But just building it that way isn’t enough.  Before gaining an Energy Star label, every home is tested by an independent evaluator to make sure that there are no air leaks and that all other components meet Energy Star standards.  If it shouldn’t pass then it has to be made right until it does – this means that no corners are cut and your home gets built right the first time.

Homes elsewhere may look similar to homes at Harmony, but if they’re not Energy Star certified you’re just not getting a structure with the same value.

Our new homes are also getting built to Florida Water StarSM standards.  Water Star requires an independent check, like Energy Star, and focuses on water conserving measures in the home and landscape.  Water is getting more costly.  The new homes at Harmony will offer the latest fixtures to bring you water in the comfort levels – and operating cost levels - that you’re looking for.

Plus, we’re now building homes to standards set by the Florida Green Building Coalition.  This means another test for us, but it assures you that your home is built in a way that conserves our natural resources and provides a healthier home for you and your family.

Not stopping there, the entire development program for the Harmony community was evaluated by the Florida Green Building Coalition and found to meet their Green Development standards.  In fact we were recognized by the FGBC in 2009 for being their highest scoring community in Florida!  We’re very proud of that and that Harmony is one of the largest communities in Florida to meet their demanding standards

Harmony has received several awards both regionally and statewide for its dedication to environmental stewardship. Harmony was the proud recipient of the 2006 WCI Green Building Award presented by Sustainable Florida before then Governor Bush and the Florida Cabinet.  This recognized Harmony’s commitment to preserving the environment while creating a healthy economy for Florida.

Harmony received a 2006 Commissioner’s Business Recognition Award by the Florida Education Foundation and the Florida Department of Education.

Harmony was the featured subject in three awards presented by the University of Florida in its 2005 IMAGE Awards in recognition of programs that effectively communicated environmental information.

In 2005 and 2007, Where to Retire magazine recognized Harmony Development for having one of the 100 best master-planned communities in America.
