Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for New Fire Station in Harmony

Osceola County Commissioner Bill Lane, District 5, was joined recently by Osceola County Interim Fire Chief Richard Collins, Jim Lentz, Chairman of Harmony Development, and members of the Harmony community in a groundbreaking ceremony for Osceola County's newest fire station.

"This fire house will be 12,630 square feet and is being built at a cost of $3.5 million dollars," said Commissioner Lane. "The station will accommodate an Engine, Truck, Rescue and a Battalion Chief, and will include a concrete safe room for the firefighters to take shelter during times of severe weather, similar to the fire station we just built in Holopaw."

Construction will begin in April 2008 and the station will be completed in early 2009. The fire station will be located on Arthur J. Gallagher Boulevard just west of Harmony High School. For the convenience to residents of Harmony, Osceola County will also provide recycling bins at the site.

El comisionado del 5to distrito Bill Lane, fue acompañado por el jefe de incendio interino Richard Collins, el presidente de Harmony Development (desarrollo de Harmony) Bill Lentz, y miembros de la comunidad de Harmony en una ceremonia para festejar la nueva estación de incendios en el condado de Osceola.

"Esta estación será de 12,630 pies cuadrados y se está construyendo a un costo de $3.5 millones de dolares," dijo el comisionado Lane. "La estación acomodará un motor, camión, rescate y un jefe del batallón, e incluirá un cuarto de seguridad de concreto para los bomberos tomar refugio durante tiempos de condiciones del tiempo severos, similar a la estación de incendios que recien construímos en Holopaw."

La construcción comenzará en abril 2008 y la estación será terminada al comienzo de 2009. La estación será hubicada en la Arthur J. Gallagher Boulevard, al oeste de la escuela secundaria Harmony (Harmony High School). Para la conveniencia de los residentes de Harmony, el condado de Osceola también proveerá tachos de reciclaje en el sitio.
