General Reminders
Residents are not to dump perishables into dumpsters used by contractors; the odors attract animals which can be dangerous to both residents and contractors.
Woken by a contractor? Please remember that anything having to do with scheduling concrete (delivery, installation, pouring, etc.) is outside the control of the builders.
Please remember to pick up after your pets. Residents have noted that the front park at Button Bush and Sedges has been a little abused over the last few months, and the dog park isn’t always as clean as it should be. Residents have also complained about finding dog waste on their lawns. Please be considerate of your neighbors. Also, please be sure to close the dog park gates behind you when you leave.
When taking your animals outside, for their own safety and for the safety and comfort of other residents, please keep them on a leash. This includes residents of the feline variety.
Please Don’t Park on the Streets! Please do not leave your vehicles parked in front of your house for extended periods of time. The covenants and restrictions (page 8 of Exhibit “C” Initial Use Restrictions and Rules, section #2 Restricted Activities letter (a) Parking of vehicles...) explains time limitations of folks being able to leave vehicles in front of their houses and that they should utilize their garages and driveways for personal vehicles. There are now many children playing in our streets and riding bikes, etc. and “front side” parked vehicles really impair their ability to view oncoming traffic.
Streetlight Outages
Any streetlight outages need to be directed to OUC. There is a silver numbered tag on poles. Please refer to this number when reporting streetlight outages to the phone number at left.
Horses and Cows
As long as the grass is greener across the fence, cows and horses will try to find a way to get to it. As loose livestock can be dangerous for motorists as well as the animal, it’s important to know who to notify if you should come across one who has managed to get out.
If you come across loose animals within Harmony, please notify the Sales and Information Gallery during business hours (407-891-8358) or Animal Control after hours (407-892-5292). Should you come across livestock out on the highway at any time, please notify the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office (407-348-2222) promptly.
Buck Lake Boat Orientation
If you haven’t scheduled the required lake orientation for boat users with Thomas, the Dock Master, please call him (number at left). There are no exceptions to this orientation, so get trained and start cruising. Boat reservations can be made through Thomas at the same number. While your personal canoe or kayak can be launched from the canoe beach, you must remove your craft from the lake when you’ve ended your trip.
